FAQs

Everything you need to know about preserving your blooms. From booking your date to caring for your forever frame, we've answered our most-asked questions to help guide you through the process.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking as soon as you have your date (up to a year in advance) to ensure availability in our studio. If your event has already passed or is less than a month away, please send us a message to check whether we can accommodate you!

2

What is the process for sending my flowers to you?

Once you've booked online, we will send you confirmation of our postal address and detailed instructions for shipping your florals to us (you can view these here). This includes tips on how to keep your flowers hydrated, how to package them securely and which postal service we recommend for delivery to our Solihull studio. If you are based locally, we also welcome in person drop-offs.

3

How long does the preservation take?

On average, the process takes between 8-16 weeks. This allows for the meticulous drying/pressing time required to ensure your blooms are perfectly preserved before they are arranged and framed.

4

Do all flowers preserve well?

Most flowers preserve beautifully, though many undergo a natural colour change during the drying process. Whites can often turn a vintage cream/ivory, deep reds can turn a very dark burgundy and pinks can sometimes take on a purple tone. Succulents, orchids and very 'fleshy' flowers (like calla lilies) are more difficult to press, but can often be preserved three-dimensionally.

5

Can you preserve flowers that are already dried?

Yes! We offer a 'Custom Dried / Faux Flower Framing Service' specifically for bouquets containing ready dried flowers or containing faux blooms. We can carefully arrange these into a shadowbox frame to protect them from dust and damage.

6

What is the difference between pressed and 3D preservation?

Our Pressed Collections (Heritage/Contemporary) involve hand-pressing the flowers, resulting in a 2D piece of art. The Dimensional Collection uses 3D shadowbox frames to showcase the flowers natural shape and depth.

7

Can I include other items like a button-hole, wedding invitation or photo?

Absolutely! We love adding personal touches like button-holes, invitations, charms or photos. Please let us know during the booking process so that we can account for the extra space in the design.

8

Can I choose the layout of the flowers?

Yes, we offer different styles tailored to the type of preservation you choose. You can explore these in our portfolio for inspiration. Simply select your preferred style when ordering; you'll find a detailed description of each style within the individual product listing.

9

How long will my preserved flowers last?

If kept out of direct sunlight and away from sources of heat or condensation, your preserved florals will last for many years. To ensure the highest levels of protection, we recommend upgrading to UV-protected glass to help prevent natural fading over time.

10

Will the colours change over time?

Because flowers are a natural product, some subtle fading over several years is normal and adds to the vintage charm of the piece and beautifully highlights the natural passing of time. Opting for a frame with Museum Grade 99% UV-protected glass is the gold standard for maintaining their original vibrancy and guarding against light damage for as long as possible.

11

Is return postage included?

Yes - to ensure your finished frame returns to you as safely and quickly as possible, Royal Mail Special Delivery is included as standard on all preservation orders. This is a fully tracked and insured service that guarantees next-day delivery once your frame has been dispatched.
