  2. I understand that I am responsible for the labelling of my bouquet and contents in my shipment box prior to sending, e.g. charms, buttonholes.

  3. I acknowledge and agree that Pressed and Preserved is not responsible for any damage to my flowers that may occur during transit, nor for any lost or delayed packages.

  4. I understand that Pressed and Preserved will contact me via email to confirm receipt of my flowers.

  7. I acknowledge that Pressed and Preserved will take great care in storing and handling my flowers. However, they cannot be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from events outside of their control, such as fire, storms, power outages, flooding or other unforeseen circumstances.

  8. I understand that as many flowers as possible will be used from my bouquet, but on some occasions not all will be used due to space in the frame or condition.

  9. By purchasing from Pressed and Preserved, I acknowledge that I am giving the assigned floral artist creative freedom to design the frame in a way they feel will best showcase the arrangement (in accordance with the design selected during the booking process).

  10. I understand that once the design has been finalised, Pressed and Preserved will contact me to inform me that my frame is ready for dispatch and provide full tracking information.

  11. Upon successful delivery of the order, all risk of loss or damage to the frame passes to me, the Client. I understand that Pressed and Preserved are not liable for any damage or breakage that occurs once the item is in my possession.

What To Expect
Please note that dried flowers do not look like silk replicas of your original bouquet.  Clients should be aware that as part of the natural drying process, flowers can change colour, texture and some may lose shape.

  • Whites & Creams: These will often take on a creamy, antique beige or sepia tone. Occasionally, some white blooms may show small 'bruising' spots (translucency) which only become visible once moisture is removed.

  • Pinks & Peaches: These often soften into a vintage or muted palette.  Dark pinks will often take on a purple tone once dried.

  • Reds & Purples: These will darken significantly; deep reds often become a rich burgundy or plum.

Whilst the majority of flowers preserve beautifully, some preserve less successfully - in particular Lilies, Calla lilies, Orchids and Lisianthus, which may undergo a complete colour change once dry (this is very much dependent on the original colour).

Please note that the images on our website are all examples of bouquets and flowers which have been preserved by us for individual clients. However, no two bouquets are the same and the end result can differ depending on the actual bouquet contents and the condition it is in when it reaches us.

Return Postage

Return postage is included in the price and all frames are returned to the client via Royal Mail Special Delivery as standard. This is a premium, tracked and insured service designed to ensure the safest possible transit for your florals.

Please be aware that in our shadowbox frames, there may be some petal dropping during transit, especially from very small flowers such as gypsophila or wax flowers. We use silica to dry certain types of flowers and whilst every effort is made to remove it all before framing, there may be small grains deep within the petals which can become dislodged during transit. In the event that this does happen, the backing board can simply be unclipped or front of the frame opened, and any debris removed with a soft, clean brush or cloth.  Further petal dropping is highly unlikely once your frame is in a static position.

After Care

Display Environment - To ensure the longevity of your preservation, frames should be displayed in a dry environment away from any sources of heat or condensation (e.g. fireplaces, radiators, bathrooms). To maintain the vibrancy of your blooms for as long as possible, it is essential to display your frame away from direct sunlight. Even with our Museum Grade UV-protected glass, prolonged exposure to harsh, direct light will accelerate colour fading.

Hanging Guide - To ensure the long-term safety of your preservation, we strongly recommend hanging your frame using a drill and wall plugs rather than adhesive hooks or nails. As our frames house delicate floral arrangements, they require a secure, permanent fix to the wall to support their weight safely. For optimum security, please always ensure the wall type is suitable for the fixings.

The Natural Process - As flowers are an organic product, some subtle tonal changes over several years are a natural part of the aging process and add to the vintage charm of your piece.

Cleaning Your Frame - Standard glass can be cleaned with a soft, lint-free cloth and a small amount of glass cleaner applied to the cloth (never directly to the glass).

UV-protected glass features a specialised anti-reflective coating. Please do not use glass cleaner or water. To clean, simply use a dry, high quality microfibre cloth to gently buff away dust or fingerprints. Using liquids or chemicals on Art or Museum Glass may damage the UV-protective layer.

We hope you enjoy your beautiful blooms and the memories they hold for many years to come!
